DMD Data Systems Ranks on Inc.’s list of Fastest-Growing Companies

Frankfort – For the second time, DMD Data Systems, Inc. has been named to Inc. magazine's list of fastest-growing companies in America. Of the Kentucky-based companies that placed on the list, DMD is #1 in IT services in the Lexington area.

With this accomplishment, DMD Data Systems, Inc. joins "the rarified company of enterprises who have appeared on the list multiple times, many of which have grown to become national icons,” Jane Berentson, Inc. editor in chief, said.

Now in its fourth year, the Inc. 5000 list identifies the fastest-growing, privately-held companies encompassing businesses of every size and industry, ranking them according to revenue growth from 2006 through 2009. To be considered for this award, companies had to be U.S.-based and privately held, independent – not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies, – and have had at least $100,000 in revenue in 2006, and $2 million in 2009.

Despite the ongoing recession, aggregate revenue among the companies on the list actually increased to $214 billion, up $29 billion from 2008, with a median three-year growth rate of 126 percent. The Inc. 5000 are responsible for creating more than 1 million jobs since their founding, making the list perhaps the best example of the impact private, fast-growing companies can have on the economy.

"Considering the state of the economy, this award is even more meaningful to us than when we made the list in 2007,” Dave Sevigny, DMD Data Systems president, said. "Our whole team is committed to customer service, and we believe that's the key to our growth."

Inc. 5000 project manager Jim Melloan said the list is eagerly anticipated every year.

DMD Data Systems will be honored at the 29^th Annual Inc. 500/5000 Conference and Awards Ceremony this fall in Washington, D.C.
