Help Wanted - DMD to hire Apprentices to Start January 2, 2012

DMD will be hiring two to three part-time employees in to its Apprentice Institute program. The positions include part-time training from January through July, and has the potential to become full time beginning July 1. For more information or to apply, click here.

DMD Team Members to Serve on Area Boards

Dave Sevigny was tapped to serve a three-year term on Commerce Lexington's board, beginning Jan 2012. Anitra Thompson will begin a two-year term as President of the International Book Project, beginning Jan 2012. Thompson formerly served as IBP's secretary for the last two years, and designs websites for other local nonprofits. Recently named one of the 100 Most Powerful Women of the Channel by Computer Resellers News, Thompson was a presenter at Commerce Lexington's September Business Resource Roundtable entitled "Social Media as a Business Engagement Strategy."

Mike Logan has over 20 years of public sector experience, managing and delivering IT solutions for the Commonwealth of KY. He left in 2008 to join the competitive sales force of Cisco Systems as a Senior Account Manager covering Kentucky. After three successful years at Cisco, he is looking forward to bringing his expertise to DMD.

DMD Again Makes CRN Magazine’s Fast Growth 100 List

Frankfort – DMD Data Systems today announced it again made CRN magazine’s Fast Growth 100 list for 2011. This is the company’s third time on the national list, which recognizes the fastest growing solution providers, resellers and value-added resellers in North America. Companies on the Fast Growth 100 list average a two-year revenue growth of 130 percent and average annual sales of products and services of $172 million. The ranking is based on two years’ growth of net sales from calendar year 2008 to calendar year 2010.

“This comes on the heels of our company being on the Inc. 5000 list so we are very excited,” DMD Data Systems president Dave Sevigny, said. “It’s a testament to the quality of our products and the strong customer service our team provides. Everything Channel's CRN Magazine today released its list of the top Women of the Channel for 2011. Anitra Manca Thompson, VP of marketing at DMD Data Systems, was among the 200+ women recognized. This annual list recognizes female executives for their accomplishments over the past year, based on their achievements as executives and the amount of influence they wield over the technology channel. This year's Women of the Channel were chosen by the editors of CRN Magazine from a field of vendor channel organizations, distributors and solution providers.

"This year's Women of the Channel list honors those female executives who epitomize success within the IT channel - a traditionally male-centric industry. If you find that your lunch break leaves you feeling dragged out instead of refreshed for a productive afternoon, don’t feel guilty about skipping the group meal once in awhile and taking a fifteen minute walk instead, followed by a brown bag lunch. When you do eat out, remember that many restaurants’ lunch portions are almost enough for two people, so team up with a friend and share one entrée and supplement it with a side salad, or take part of your meal in a box to go. You’ll feel less sluggish if you don’t overeat.

DMD Announces the Addition of Evan Hildebran and Promotion of Marshall Butler

DMD Data Systems is pleased to announce the addition of Evan Hildebran, Senior Systems Engineer, to its roster of IT professionals, and to announce the advancement of Marshall Butler to Vice President of Sales.

Evan Hildebran has over 9 years of IT experience working in higher education primarily on storage, infrastructure hardware, systems administration, and systems design. He has worked on a number of very high profile projects through the years, including a large-scale super computer and a large scale SAN implementation. His main focus at DMD will be on systems design and installation. Evan attended Western Kentucky University pursuing a CSAB accredited B.S. degree in Computer Science and has a very strong background in structured programming and critical problem solving. In his spare time he enjoys application programming and racing his motorcycle and car.

Marshall Butler has been with DMD Data Systems since 2003. As VP of Sales, his focus will shift toward leading DMD’s growing sales team as it expands its solutions offerings to a wider segment of Kentucky businesses, while maintaining the excellent value and high levels of customer service and satisfaction DMD clients enjoy.
